I had the pleasure of working with Marianne during her time with the University of Cumbria. Marianne met the challenges of her very important role with determination and vigour. I was very impressed by the extent and nature of her achievements in the role. She did a great deal to move the University on in terms of its profile and also in tackling some key issues related to student recruitment.
